ACPE Recognition Awards 2025: Honoring Outstanding Leaders, Volunteers, and Community Builders
Discover the inspiring stories behind the 2025 ACPE Recognition Awards, celebrating leaders, volunteers, and community builders whose dedication and service continue to strengthen and uplift the Cameroonian community.
Introduction
During the ACPE End-of-Year Gala, one of the most meaningful moments of the evening was the Recognition Awards Ceremony—a special tribute dedicated to honoring members whose commitment, leadership, and service have profoundly shaped our community.
This ceremony reflected the very heart of ACPE: unity, dedication, and collective progress. Through these awards, we celebrated individuals whose actions—both visible and behind the scenes—continue to elevate the association, inspire the next generation, and strengthen the bonds within the Cameroonian community in Philadelphia and beyond.
The 2025 ACPE Recognition Awards proudly honored the following outstanding members:
Olivier T. Takuete
Business Development Strategist & Marketing Director
A dynamic and strategic force within ACPE, Olivier Takuete has made a significant impact in a short time. As our Marketing Director, he was instrumental in organizing and executing the association’s inaugural Business Fair and Annual End-of-Year Party, events that greatly elevated our community profile and engagement. His forward-thinking approach and dedication embody the innovative spirit we cherish. Recognizing his talents and commitment, Olivier now also serves as ACPE’s Marketing Director, where he continues to develop strategies that drive growth and strengthen our community connections.
Marc Yankmi
Dedicated Volunteer & Future U.S. Marine
Marc Yankmi exemplifies the core values of service and commitment. A constant and reliable presence at every ACPE event, he is always the first to step forward—setting up chairs, arranging tables, handling musical equipment, and ensuring every detail, from bounce houses to logistics, is perfectly managed. His unwavering work ethic and positive attitude have made him a true inspiration to the youth in our association. We are exceptionally proud to announce that Marc has blazed a new trail as the first young member of ACPE to be accepted into training for the United States Marine Corps, a testament to his discipline and character.
Ghislaine Nzene
Pioneer Member & Events Coordinator
As a pioneering member of ACPE, Ghislaine has been a pillar of support for our community from the very beginning. Her dedication to our activities is both diligent and relentless. She plays a crucial role in coordinating children’s programs and is the mastermind behind the food experience at all ACPE functions. Notably, Ghislaine expertly coordinated the culinary aspects of our first and second Cameroonian Food Tasting Festivals, events that showcased our rich culture and brought our community together in celebration. Her behind-the-scenes efforts are vital to our success.
Judith Godi
Vice President & Community Advocate
A cornerstone of ACPE for over 12 years, Judith’s journey from dedicated pioneer member to Vice President reflects her deep love and steadfast commitment to the association’s growth and progress. She is a faithful participant in meetings and functions, offering both hands-on support and vital financial contributions. Beyond ACPE, Judith’s heart for service extends to her role as the Founder and CEO of the Mother Child Education and Health Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting underprivileged women and children in Cameroon and across Africa. Her leadership is defined by compassion and a powerful vision for community upliftment.
